For users, who have already completed the setup for your Echo and simply need to change the Wi-Fi settings, here's what all steps you need to follow:
Step 1: Firstly and quickly sign in to the Alexa app on your iPhone or Android device. Thereafter, click on the "Devices" icon shown in the bottom-right corner.
Step 2: Secondly, you have to tap "Echo & Alexa" option on the next screen.
Step 3: Now, choose the specific Echo device you want to connect to Wi-Fi. Please note that the device should be listed as "Offline." But if it's instead listed as "Online," then your Echo is already connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Furthermore, you are not required to complete steps to connect an Amazon Echo to wi-fi network.
Step 4: Moving to the next page, next to "Wi-Fi Network," tap on the word "Change."
Step 5: Keep following the onscreen prompts to complete your Wi-Fi connection and connect an Amazon Echo to wi-fi. This may include holding down the Echo's "Action Button" (this button has a white dot) that forces it into the pairing mode.
Now that you have connected to your Wi-Fi network, but still having issues. This straightaway means that there is an issue with the Wi-Fi itself. So, in this case, try to reset your internet router, or directly call up for help from your ISP.
Step 1: Firstly, plug in your Echo device into a power outlet.
Step 2: Launch the Alexa app.
Step 3: Now, choose Settings from the left navigation panel of the Alexa app.
Step 4: Choose the Set up a new device option.
Step 5: Continuously press and hold the Action button on your Echo until the light ring turns orange. Subsequently, your phone or tablet will then connect to your Echo device.
Step 6: Additionally, the Alexa app will display you a list of available WiFi networks.
Step 7: Select the specific Shaw in-home WiFi network. If you want to check the name of your Shaw WiFi network, you can see it on the white sticker on your modem.
Step 8: Next, you have to enter the network password. This password is usually found on the white sticker on your modem hardware.
Step 9: If in case, your Shaw WiFi network is not visible, simply scroll down and tap Rescan option.
Step 10: Lastly, tap on the Connect button to connect your Echo to your Shaw WiFi network. Here, you will get a success confirmation message, and so your Echo device is ready to use.
For most of the users, Amazon Echo serves multiple applications. However, if you have not done the setup, here's the simple steps:
Step 1: Install the Amazon Alexa app on your smartphone.
Step 2: Plug in your Amazon Echo until the top ring turns orange color. Generally, this indicates that the device is ready to set up. Else if the ring changes to purple color, then hold down the Action button for some seconds until it turns to orange.
Step 3: Launch the Alexxa app and tap on the three horizontal lines present at the upper right corner of the screen.
Step 4: Click Add Device >> Amazon Echo
Step 5: Select the Echo device you want to set up.
Step 6: Follow the on-screen instructions to set up and hit the Continue button.
Step 7: Return to your phone's home screen and go to Settings.
Step 8: Click on Wifi and select the network starting with "Amazon-".
