Now, give a command to Alexa to pair by saying “Alexa pair”. Alexa will process your command and put your device in the pairing mode. You will also receive a verbal response from Alexa confirming that your Amazon Echo is in the pairing mode.

After that, you will receive a notification on your iPhone screen asking you whether you want to pair with the Amazon device or decline the request. Touch on pair to connect both the devices using Bluetooth. You will also receive a confirmation from Alexa when the two devices will get connected to one another. Once the pairing is done, you will just have to say “connect my phone” to Alexa to establish the connection.

On your iPhone’s screen, you will see the connected status under Bluetooth. You can also see the connected status by going to the end of the screen where you will see the “Other Devices” where you will see your Echo Device.

After pairing your Alexa device to iPhone, you can launch the music streaming service on your iPhone and play the song of your choice and listen to songs on your Amazon Echo speakers. You can stream podcasts and listen to songs on Apple Music and iTunes. Additionally, you can play music on third-party apps like Pandora, Audiobox, or Spotify.

Controlling Music on Alexa

Amazon Alexa is a voice-enabled virtual assistant that means you can play and pause music by giving voice commands. You can tell Alexa to pause, play, resume, move forward, move backward, lower or raise the volume.

Nevertheless, you will not be able to command Alexa to play a specific song from the list. If you will try doing that, then this will disconnect Amazon device to iPhone and instead, it will start playing songs on default Amazon music source of your choice.
